I delivered about 5 weeks back and the bleeding is still going on and off, not sure if its still postpartum or my actual period coming back. How long did it last for you all after delivery? Want to know whats normal.
After delivery the bleeding called lochia lasted me around 4 to 6 weeks, getting lighter over time. It's heavier in the first week then slowly fades. If it suddenly becomes very heavy or smells bad, please call your gynac.
And actual periods, mine stayed away for months while I was fully breastfeeding. It really varies woman to woman. So dont worry if yours returns early or takes a while, both are normal.
After my C-section the postpartum bleeding lasted a few weeks too, similar to normal delivery. I just took it slow and rested. If you ever pass large clots or feel unwell, get checked promptly.
