How long to stay in bed after intercourse to conceive?
We are ttc and ive heard u should lie down for some time after to help things along. Is there an actual time or is it just one of those myths? Pls tell na.
When we were trying with my PCOS, I used to stay in bed for 15 minutes because my doctor said it gives sperms a little extra time. But honestly, don't stress if you have to get up earlier sometimes. Conceiving is more about your overall health and cycle timing.
Just 10 to 15 minutes of resting quietly is perfect. Use that time to breathe deeply, think positive thoughts, and leave the rest to God. Everything happens at the right divine time.
I know how exhausting this trying phase can be, emotionally and physically. I used to lie down for about 15-20 minutes with a pillow under my hips just to feel like I was doing everything possible. Sending you so much love and hoping you get your positive news soon.
I preferred resting for 15 minutes with a pillow under my lower back just to feel safe and relaxed. Take gentle care of your body and mind during this time. Don't rush or stress your body immediately after.
Medically, even 10-15 minutes is plenty because fertilization happens way up inside and the active sperms reach there very quickly. You don't need to stay in bed for hours. Just relax, cuddle with your partner, and then you can wash up.
I used to lie there like a statue for 30 minutes with my legs up, thinking it was mandatory! Looking back, I realize sperms move extremely fast anyway. Just lying down comfortably for 10 minutes is more than enough, don't stress about it.
