Cherries are in season and im loving them so much in my second trimester, could honestly eat a whole bowl. But then i wondered if eating too many is fine or not. How much is ok in a day?
Just a gentle note, cherries are sweet so watch the quantity if your sugar tends to run high. I had GD so I had to count my fruit portions carefully. A small bowl is fine for most, but check with your doc if you have any sugar issues.
There is no fixed magic number, moderation is the real answer. A handful to a small cup daily is reasonable for most pregnancies. If you have any dietary restrictions your gynac or a dietician can guide the exact amount.
I just used to carry a small box of washed cherries to office, maybe 8 to 10 in a day. Easy snack, no cooking, did the job. Wash them well since fruits can have pesticide residue.
Beta, in our time we said all fruits in moderation are blessings during this time. A handful washed properly is enough, dont overdo any one fruit. Variety is better than eating only one thing daily.
Cherries were my whole personality during pregnancy honestly, I could finish a whole bowl. I kept it to a small handful a day so it doesnt become too much sugar. They are such a treat when in season.
