How many days delay in periods can cause pregnancy?
My periods are usually on time but this month already 6 days late. I keep wondering at what point of delay should i actually test. Anyone else who had a delay like this, what happened?
I think you got it slightly reverse beta. A missed or delayed period is one of the early signs of pregnancy, not a cause. A delay of about 5-7 days after the expected date is a good time to test.
Periods can be late for many reasons too, stress, travel, thyroid, pcos, not only pregnancy. I track mine on an app. If its 6-7 days late and you could be pregnant, test once, and if confused see your doctor.
Yaar delay in period doesnt cause pregnancy, its the other way round, pregnancy causes the delay. If your period is late by a week and you had a chance of conceiving, just take a home test with morning urine.
I was also confused about this when we started trying. From what i learnt, you usually wait till the period is actually missed, then a few extra days, before testing gives a reliable result. Testing too soon gave me a false negative.
