My cycle is usually 30 days and we are planning now, so I am tracking dates for the first time. I thought it happens immediately but friends are saying it can take time. What is a normal wait before worrying?
For one cycle, conception happens around ovulation which is roughly mid cycle. But how many months overall varies, many healthy couples take up to a year, so dont panic if it's not the first month.
We are trying too and i learnt the best chance is in the fertile days near ovulation. It can take a few cycles, doesnt always happen at once. Trying to stay calm about it honestly.
Don't put too much pressure beta, conceiving can take a few months even when all is well. Focus on healthy days near ovulation and stay relaxed. If it drags long, a doctor visit helps.
It really differs person to person, with my pcos my cycles were irregular so it took longer and tracking ovulation was tricky. If a year goes by with no luck, do see a doctor, no shame in that.
Within a cycle it's around ovulation time, about 2 weeks after period starts for a regular 28 day cycle. I used an ovulation tracker to catch the fertile window, made it easier. Overall it can take several months, that's normal.
