My period is 3 days late and im so tempted to test right now but dont want a false result either. We have been trying for a while so im extra anxious this time. How many days should i actually wait?
Wait at least till your period is a day or two late, but a week late gives the most reliable result. Testing before the period is due often shows a false negative. Use the first morning urine for accuracy.
Same doubt I had! I tested 2 days late and it was very faint, then a few days later it was a strong line. So I learnt patience pays off, the wait is the hard part though na.

I'd say one week after the missed period is the sweet spot for a clear line. My app reminded me of the due date so I knew exactly when it was late. Earlier than that the hormone might be too low to detect.
