We just found out im pregnant, early days only. My husband and i are not sure if we should wait for some time to be safe. Did ur doctor tell u to avoid it for a few days in the beginning?

For a normal healthy pregnancy there is usually no need to avoid it for days. But if there was any bleeding, IVF or a past loss, doctors do advise caution early on. Best to just ask your own gynac about your case.
In my IVF pregnancy my doctor told us to avoid it in the first trimester to be safe. Every case is so different though. Please go by what your own doctor says, that brings peace of mind.
Generally if everything is normal it is considered safe, but there is no fixed number of days for everyone. The honest answer is it depends on your individual pregnancy. Just confirm with your gynac at your next visit.
I had spotting early on so my gynac asked us to wait till things settled. If you have any pain or bleeding, please avoid and call the doctor. Otherwise she is the right person to give you a clear answer.
Don't feel awkward about asking your doctor this, they hear it all the time. Until you do, just go gentle and listen to your body. There is no shame in checking first.
