My period is expected this week and I already bought a kit. I dont want to test too soon and get a false negative. After how many missed days should I check?
I always wanted to test super early but my doctor told me to wait until the missed period for an honest result. The early testing just gave me confusing faint lines and more stress honestly.
Yaar dont test every day, it just stresses u out and wastes kits. Wait for the missed period, then check with first pee in the morning. If period is irregular, wait about 3 weeks after the deed.
Wait till at least the day your period is due, ideally a couple days after, for a clear result. The hCG needs time to build up. Morning sample is strongest. Some kits claim early detection but they still miss it sometimes.
Best to test the day after ur missed period, thats when its accurate. Testing too early gives false negatives, i learnt that the hard way the first time. If u cant wait, atleast give it till the missed date and use first morning urine.
Generally about 1-2 days after a missed period gives a reliable home kit result. If it shows negative but period still doesnt come in a few days, retest or do a blood test, those catch it earlier than urine kits.
