How many days to detect pregnancy after intercourse?
Bit of an awkward question but i really wanna know. How many days after do i need to wait before a test can actually show correctly? dont want to test too soon and stress myself.
Because of my PCOS, my ovulation was always delayed, so testing too early was useless. I waited almost 3 weeks after intercourse to get a reliable positive test. Don't lose heart if it's negative early on, just give it some more time.
To be absolutely safe and sure, it's best to wait until your period is missed, which is usually about 2 weeks after intercourse. If u suspect something or feel unusual pain, please consult your doctor for a blood test. It's much more accurate.
It usually takes about 14 to 21 days after intercourse for the pregnancy hormone to be high enough to detect on a home test. I remember trying to test while feeling super nauseous and it only showed positive after 15 days. Hang in there, the wait is tough but try to stay relaxed.
