How many first time pregnancies end in miscarriage?
This is my first pregnancy and honestly im a little scared after reading too much online. Just want to understand how common it really is for first timers so i can calm my mind. Pls share if you know.
It does happen, more in early weeks, but it's not the majority. I had a complicated pregnancy and the one thing that helped was regular monitoring with my gynac. If u have any specific worry or symptom like bleeding or cramping, get checked, dont just rely on general numbers.
I lost my first pregnancy and I know how scary these numbers feel. From what my doctor said, early loss is more common than people talk about, but a huge majority of pregnancies do go on fine. Please dont let stats scare u, every pregnancy is its own story. Sending u love.
My gynac explained that a fair number of early pregnancies do end in miscarriage, mostly in the first trimester and usually due to chromosomal issues, not anything the mom did. But once you cross the early weeks and see a heartbeat, the risk drops a lot. For exact figures she's the right person to ask for your case.
Beta, I know why you're asking, but please dont sit with these numbers. Most first pregnancies go perfectly well. Focus on your checkups, eating right and resting. If anything ever worries u, call your doctor immediately.
