Honestly i forget to drink water through the day and then feel guilty. My MIL keeps saying drink more drink more but no one gives me an exact number. How many litres are you all aiming for daily?
When I asked the nutritionist at my hospital, she gave me a proper chart and said aiming for around 2.5 to 3 liters is ideal. You can double-check with your own doctor on your next visit just to be sure.
I know how hard it is to gulp down water when you are feeling bloated and heavy, but please try your best. Your body is doing so much work, so even 2-3 liters will help you feel much better.
My mother-in-law always used to run behind me with a copper jug of water, telling me to drink up for the baby. Aiming for around 3 liters really helped me avoid that annoying pregnancy constipation.
My doc specifically told me that 2.5 to 3 liters is necessary to maintain amniotic fluid levels and prevent UTIs. I used to keep a marked bottle to track my daily intake.
Please make sure you drink enough water, maybe around 2.5 liters, as dehydration can cause minor cramps which can be very scary. I was extremely cautious about this during my pregnancy after my past loss.
