How many saffron threads to use in milk during pregnancy?
Everyone says saffron milk is good during pregnancy, but I'm not sure about the quantity. How many saffron threads are generally recommended to use in milk during pregnancy for a pregnant lady?
Medically, high doses of saffron are not safe during pregnancy. So stick to just 2-3 threads daily for flavor and mild benefits. My husband always advises patients not to exceed this.
I used to put exactly 2-3 threads in my night milk, nothing more. It’s practical, quick, and helps with good sleep after a long workday. Don't overdo it as it generates body heat.
I was so worried about the heat from saffron that I used to count exactly 2 strands every single day! Even then, I asked my gynac first. Keep it to 2-3 threads just to be safe.
Look, kesar is very warm, so don't put a whole spoonful. Just 2 or 3 strands in warm milk is the standard. Also, start only after your first trimester is over.
I totally understand wanting the best for your little baby! Just 2 to 3 threads of kesar in warm milk is more than enough. Don't use too much, keep it safe and gentle.
