How many scan done in pregnancy?

Im a first time mom and just had my first scan at 8 weeks. My gynac mentioned a few more later but i didnt fully catch how many in total. How many scans roughly happen across the whole pregnancy?

Around 3 routine ones normally, more only if doctor advises.

My doc did around 3 to 4 main ones, the dating scan early, the NT scan around 11-13 weeks, the anomaly scan around 20 weeks, and a growth scan in third trimester. Extra ones only if needed.

I have had two so far and have the 20 week one coming up. My gynac said dont expect a scan every visit, was anyone elses different?

Usually three standard scans for a normal pregnancy. If everything is smooth you wont need many, your doctor decides based on your case.
