How many scans are done during pregnancy?

First time pregnant and im just trying to plan ahead mentally and financially. How many ultrasounds usually happen across the whole 9 months? my doc hasnt given me a full schedule yet.

Usually 3 to 5 depending on how things go, that's the common pattern I have seen with so many moms here. The 11-13 week and the 18-20 week ones are the key ones. Just follow ur gynac's schedule and u will be fine.

In a normal pregnancy my gynac did around 3 to 4 main scans, the dating one, NT scan, anomaly scan around 20 weeks and a growth scan later. She said the number can change if anything needs closer watching. So roughly 3-4 for most, but always go by what ur doctor advises.

In my town doctor did 3 scans only, all came normal thankfully. Dont worry about counting, just go whenever doctor calls u. They know best beta.

I planned for about 4 scans and kept some budget aside for it, each one was a few thousand rupees in our city. The anomaly scan is the most important one so dont skip that na. Some extra scans may come up so keep a little buffer.
