First pregnancy and im trying to understand how many ultrasounds will be there overall. Dont want to over-scan but also dont want to miss anything important. How many did ur gynac do for u?
I had a normal delivery last year and had about 4-5 scans in total. The anomaly scan around the 5th month and the growth scan near the end are super important. Just trust your gynac's schedule!
Since I had thyroid issues, my doctor was very particular about monitoring my baby's growth and ordered a couple of extra growth scans. Keep up with your regular doctor checkups and scans so they can manage your parameters safely.
I think about 4-5 scans are standard, and honestly, my favorite part of scan days was the treat my husband got me afterwards! Just let your gynac decide the number while you focus on what snacks to eat.
According to my tracker app, there are 4 critical scans: the early dating scan, NT scan (11-13 weeks), Anomaly scan (18-20 weeks), and Growth scan (32-36 weeks). Your doctor might add more if there are specific parameters to monitor.
Usually, about 3 to 4 main scans are necessary to check on the baby, dear. Don't worry, your doctor will schedule them at the exact right times, so just follow their advice and enjoy seeing your baby on screen.
I used to feel so anxious before every single scan, constantly worrying if everything was okay. Normally, doctors do at least 4 main scans (dating, NT, anomaly, and growth), and having them really helped ease my anxious mind.
I'm in my second trimester now and I've already had three scans, which makes me feel a bit worried. Is this normal, or did you guys also have this many scans so early on?
