First pregnancy so i have no idea how many sonography are actually needed start to end. Dont want to do extra unnecessary scans but also dont want to miss any important one. How many did u all get?
I loved scans because I got to see the baby and then reward myself with a nice lunch! I had about 4 major ones, but always ask your doctor what they recommend.
Honestly, I lost count! I think I had around 5 scans, but by the end, I was too sleepy during them to even care. Just follow whatever schedule your gynac gives you.
Standard protocol is about 4 scans: dating scan, NT scan, anomaly scan, and growth scan. But your gynac might add more if they need to monitor fluid levels or baby's weight.
Usually there are 4-5 major scans throughout the nine months. Plan your calendar around the NT scan at 12 weeks and the Anomaly scan at 20 weeks, as those are the most critical ones.
Keep a budget of around 1500-3000 per scan depending on the lab. There are usually 4 main scans, so plan your expenses accordingly so there are no surprises.
