Im 9 weeks and just had my first scan. My gynac mentioned a few more later but I forgot to ask exactly how many in total. Just want to plan financially and mentally. How many did you all end up having?
I planned the budget for around 4 main scans, each costs differently so ask the cost upfront. Some hospitals bundle them in a package which saved me money. The essential ones your doctor will mark out clearly.
My gynac scheduled about 3-4 routine scans, the dating scan early, the NT scan around 11-13 weeks, the anomaly scan around 18-20 weeks, and a growth scan in the third trimester. Some women get a few extra if needed. Your doctor decides based on your case.
Roughly 3 to 4 in a normal pregnancy, but in my second I had a couple extra growth scans. Dont skip the anomaly scan, thats an important one. Doctor will tell the exact schedule.
