First pregnancy so everything is new. My gynac has already given me a long list of blood tests and scans and im a little overwhelmed. Roughly how many tests are there through the whole 9 months? Just want to mentally prepare.
There are quite a few across the months, blood tests, urine, a couple of scans, sugar test, thyroid and so on. The exact list depends on your case. Your doctor gives you a schedule, just follow that and dont skip.
There are several routine tests yaar and they do add up cost wise, so I planned my budget around them. Ask your hospital for the full list and rough charges upfront, that helped me a lot. Government hospitals do many at lower cost too.
I felt overwhelmed seeing so many tests on the list honestly. Did anyone else feel it was a lot at first? My doctor said it is all normal routine, that calmed me.
It varies per pregnancy, but expect routine blood work, scans and screening tests each trimester. The cleanest thing is to ask your gynac for the full test schedule. Then you know exactly what is coming and when.
