My doc mentioned the TT injection at my last visit but i forgot to ask how many i need in total and the timing. Im 4 months now. Anyone remember their schedule? Just want to be prepared for next appointment.
At the govt hospital they gave me 2 TT injections free during my checkups, noted in the mother card. No need to pay extra anywhere, its part of the routine ANC visits.
I had two doses spaced about 4 weeks apart. Sometimes if youve had recent TT before, the doctor gives only a booster. Best to ask your gynac, they go by your records.
In both my pregnancies it was 2 TT shots, one in 2nd trimester and second a month after. But your gynac decides based on your earlier vaccination history so just follow what she writes on your card.
Mine was two injections during pregnancy, the nurse marked the dates for me. Just keep your checkup card handy and they will tell you exactly when, no need to count yourself.
