How many times sonography is required during pregnancy?
Already done 2 scans till now and im in second trimester. Just want to know how many more are normally needed for the full pregnancy. Asking so i can plan na.
The number of sonographies can really vary depending on your individual health and the doctor's assessment. For example, because I had thyroid issues, I had a few extra scans. It's not a fixed number, so always follow your gynac's recommendations based on *your* specific pregnancy journey and health conditions.
Typically, a minimum of 3-4 scans are done during an uncomplicated pregnancy: one early for dating, one anomaly scan around 18-20 weeks, and often one in the third trimester. However, if there are any concerns or special conditions, your doctor might recommend more. Always trust your doctor's judgment on this.
Beta, usually teen-chaar baar toh hota hi hai. Ek shuru mein, fir ek beech mein, aur ek end mein. Par agar doctor ko kuch aur check karna ho, toh woh aur bhi kar sakte hain. Unko sab pata hota hai, unki baat maano.
Generally, doctors advise about 3-4 sonographies throughout pregnancy. But sometimes, if there's a need, they might do more. It's for the baby's well-being, so just follow your doctor's advice.
Just delivered recently, and I had about 5-6 scans in total! My doctor was quite thorough. One was for early confirmation, then the anomaly scan, then growth scans in the third trimester. It felt like a lot, but it was reassuring to see the baby thriving every time.
