How many times ultrasound is done during pregnancy?
Im 12 weeks and already had two scans done, my gynac says one more in a few weeks. Just curious how many we normally get through the whole 9 months because some friends say only 3 and some say more. How many did u all have?
My doctor did around 3 to 4 main scans, a dating one, the NT scan, the anomaly scan around 18 to 20 weeks and a growth one later. Some had a couple more depending on the case. She decided based on how things were going.
It really depends on your pregnancy, mine was the standard few. Don't go by what someone else got, your gynac will schedule what you actually need. Extra scans only if there's a reason.
I planned for about 3 to 4 scans cost wise and that was roughly right. Ask your doctor upfront so there are no surprises in the bill. Some packages include them too.
