How many times ultrasound is safe during pregnancy?
My doctor has advised multiple ultrasounds during my pregnancy. I'm a bit concerned about how many times it's safe to have an ultrasound during these nine months. Can anyone share their experience or what their doctor advised?
I completely understand the anxiety of wanting to check on your baby while also worrying about scan safety. Honestly, ultrasounds are very safe and doctors only order them when necessary. Try to trust your gynac and focus on seeing your sweet baby on the screen.
During my pregnancy, I had a few extra scans because my baby's weight was on the lower side. My doctor told me it's totally safe to do them as needed. Now I am successfully breastfeeding my healthy baby, so don't worry at all.
My pregnancy tracker app showed that 3 to 4 routine scans are standard for a normal pregnancy (dating, NT, anomaly, and growth scan). But if there are any specific concerns, doctors do more, and it is 100% safe. They don't use harmful radiation, so don't worry.
I panicked when my doctor ordered an extra scan in the 8th month, thinking something was wrong or it might harm the baby. But the medical staff explained that ultrasounds are completely safe and just use sound waves. It is totally normal to have multiple scans if needed!
I felt so emotional and excited before every single scan, but I also worried if doing too many was safe. My doctor reassured me that ultrasounds are completely safe because they use sound waves, not radiation. I ended up having about 5 scans in total and my baby is perfectly fine.
Haan, normal pregnancy mein 3-4 scans are enough, and they are completely safe. Don't worry about any side effects. But if you ever feel less movement or have any pain, go to the doctor immediately instead of waiting for your next scheduled scan.
With both my pregnancies, I had around 4 to 5 ultrasounds. They are completely safe and crucial for checking the baby's development. Just follow your doctor's schedule and don't skip the anomaly scan around 20 weeks, it is the most important one.
