How many times vomiting is normal during pregnancy?
I've been experiencing a lot of nausea and vomiting since my first trimester started. I was just wondering, how many times vomiting is considered normal during pregnancy in a day? I'm worried if it's too much.
My mother-in-law used to give me ginger water when I threw up 1-2 times in the morning. But she also said if you can't keep any food or water down, we must go to the doctor immediately.
I used to throw up 2-3 times a day in my first trimester and panicked thinking baby isn't getting food. But my doctor reassured me it's totally normal, just try to stay hydrated with small sips of water.
I heard from my friends that some morning sickness is normal, but if it happens too many times a day, it could be dehydration. It's always best to ask your gynac for advice.
Nausea is normal, but vomiting multiple times a day can make you very dehydrated. If you are throwing up constantly and can't even digest water, please consult your gynac for safe anti-nausea meds.
Beta, throwing up once or twice in the morning is common. Try sucking on a piece of lemon or drinking a little fennel water, but if it is happening all day, you must see your doctor.
