How many tt injections are given during pregnancy?
My gynac mentioned the TT injection at my last visit and i forgot to ask how many doses there are. First pregnancy so im clueless about this stuff. Can someone tell me how many and at what time they are given?
I remember feeling so nervous about taking injections when I was pregnant! Usually, they give 2 doses of TT (tetanus toxoid) spaced a month apart in the second trimester, but I felt so relieved knowing it protects my precious baby.
Generally, two TT injections are given during pregnancy to prevent infections. Just check with your gynecologist on your next visit, they will schedule it at the right weeks for you.
I can only share my personal experience here, but during my pregnancy, my doctor gave me two TT injections in my fifth and sixth month. It didn't hurt much, but please do check with your doctor about your schedule.
Oh, even I was wondering about this last week! My gynac told me we need two injections, but does anyone know if we also get a booster dose instead of two if the pregnancies are very close?
Haan didi, hamare yahan doctor do suyi lagate hain tetanus ki, ek panchve mahine mein aur doosri uske ek mahine baad. Isse baccha aur maa dono surakshit rehte hain, toh aap zaroor lagwa lena.
