I am 18 weeks and already had two scans, now TIFFA is coming. I am wondering how many scans are usually needed till delivery. How many did your gynac ask for?
Usually around 3-4 in a normal pregnancy, dating one early, the anomaly scan around 18-20 weeks, and growth scans later. But it varies per person. If there's anything to watch, doctor may do more. Just go by what your gynac schedules.
Normally 3-4 scans, but it can go up if doctor advises extra. I'd suggest ask your hospital for the rough list upfront so you can plan the cost, each scan adds up. Many packages include the standard ones, worth checking.
For me it was about 4 standard scans, plus a couple extra because of growth checks. The big important one is the anomaly scan in the second trimester. Your doctor will give you the schedule, and apps usually remind you which week each falls in.
My gynac said the routine ones are the early dating scan, the NT scan around 11-13 weeks, the anomaly scan around 20 weeks and a growth scan in the third trimester. So roughly four if all is smooth, with extras only if needed. Yours may differ slightly.
