Just had my first scan and im wondering how many more im gonna need through the whole pregnancy. Trying to plan my appointments and budget a bit. How many ultrasounds did u all end up doing?
Standard is around 3-4 but each scan costs decent money so I budgeted for that. Ask your doc upfront which are essential. Some clinics push extra ones, but the dating, NT and 20 week anomaly scan are the key ones.
My doc said usually around 3-4 in a normal pregnancy, one early dating scan, the NT scan around 11-13 weeks, the anomaly scan around 20 weeks, and a growth scan later. But it can be more if they want to keep a closer eye on things.
Generally 3 to 4 standard ones, but it varies doctor to doctor. With my second I had a couple extra because of low fluid. So dont compare numbers, just follow what your gynac advises for you.
I had my dating scan and just did the anomaly one, so two so far. Doc said maybe one or two more ahead. Is 4 total normal for everyone? Felt like a lot to me but I guess its routine na.
