How many ultrasounds are required during pregnancy?
Im in my 2nd trimester and so far had two scans. My MIL keeps saying don't do too many, baccha ko nuksan hota hai. Just want to know how many are actually needed in the whole 9 months. Anyone know?
Honestly, it really depends on your gynac and your pregnancy. When I was going to Cloudnine, they had a clear schedule for scans but also said if doc felt something extra was needed, they would do it. Best to ask your doctor directly for a clear plan, they'll tell you the exact count needed for your case.
Beta, generally three-four scans are common if everything is normal. One in each trimester. But if doctor thinks something is amiss, they might ask for more, usmein tension na lena. Just eat well, ghar ka khana, and rest plenty.
This is exactly what I'm curious about too! My friend had like 4-5 and another had maybe 7-8? So confusing. I guess it really varies from person to person. I'm planning to ask my potential gynac once we start trying.
Girl, I'm in my third trimester and honestly, I've lost count! It feels like I'm always going for one scan or another. Sometimes it's the growth scan, sometimes doppler... my baby will be a pro at posing for pics by the time she's born, haan!
The doctor will tell you exactly how many are needed for your health and baby's health. Don't worry too much, just follow their advice. Every pregnancy is a bit different.
It's totally normal to worry about these things, especially with so much information everywhere. I used to overthink every test. The number of ultrasounds varies a lot, depending on if there are any concerns or not. Try to trust your doctor's judgment on this.
Oh god, I remember how much I stressed about this! Every scan felt like a big deal. But actually, most pregnancies have a few standard ones, and if everything looks good, you won't need many extra. Just follow what your doc says, sab theek ho jaata hai.
