first time pregnant and im just confused how the counting works. my mom keeps saying 9 months but everywhere i see weeks. so how many weeks is a full term baby actually? pls clear my doubt.
Full term is 40 weeks counted from your last period date. Both my kids came around 39, so anywhere 37-40 is totally normal. Dont go just by the due date, baby comes when ready.
We always say 9 months at home but actually its 40 weeks from last period. My amma kept saying 9 but doc counts in weeks, so go with the doctor's date na.
Officially 40 weeks but doctors consider 37 onwards as full term. Your gynac will give an EDD based on your scan, trust that more than online calculators.
I was confused with this too! My doc said 40 weeks but counted from my period not from conceiving, which felt weird. Anyone else found this part confusing?
