How many weeks in a 9 month pregnancy?

I always get confused with this week and month thing. Doctor talks in weeks but family asks which month, and the maths never matches in my head lol. Can someone explain simply?

Around 40 weeks full term. Go by weeks, easier.

Its about 40 weeks total yaar. People say 9 months but its actually closer to 9 and a bit. Thats why your due date is given in weeks.

Oh this confused me too at first. So when doc says 36 weeks im basically in my 9th month right? The week counting took me time to get.

My doctor told me a full term pregnancy is around 40 weeks, which is roughly 9 months but a bit more. Doctors count in weeks not months because its more accurate. So 9 months is around 36-40 weeks.
