Im in my third trimester and getting all confused with this whole 37, 40, 42 weeks talk. Just want to know at which week the baby is considered fully done and ready. Can someone clear this for me?
I always wondered this too! So 9 months is roughly 40 weeks na? I am at 30 now and counting down. Good to know 37 onwards is already considered full term.
I just delivered at 39 weeks and baby was healthy. They count from your last period date so its about 40 weeks total. Honestly the last few weeks felt the longest of my life ha.
Roughly 40 weeks dear, but 37 onwards baby is ready and full term. So dont panic if labour starts a little before the due date, thats completely normal. Your doctor keeps a watch on all this for u.
My doctor explained it as 40 weeks being the due date, but term range is 37 to 42 weeks. She said babies rarely come exactly on the due date, so dont fix on that one day. The 37 week mark is when they count it as full term.
Full term is around 40 weeks counted from your last period. But anything from 37 weeks onwards is considered safe and full term. My first came at 38 and second at 39, both perfectly fine.
