How many weeks total pregnancy?

Bit of a basic doubt but i keep hearing 9 months and then people say 40 weeks, so im confused which is correct. Just want to understand the total properly. Can someone clear this up?

Yep 40 weeks is the standard count, my app showed a countdown which I loved. Don't be surprised if baby comes a bit early or late, it's normal. The due date is just an estimate honestly.

40 weeks roughly. Anything from 37 onwards is considered term.

Full term is around 40 weeks counted from your last period. Most babies arrive anywhere between 37 and 42 weeks though. Both mine came a little before 40 and were perfectly fine.
