Got my beta hcg blood test done today and waiting nervously for the report. I dont really know what number actually means positive or confirmed. Can someone tell what value i should be looking at?
My doc explained urine kits usually pick up around 25 units, while a blood beta hcg can detect much lower. The number also rises fast in early days, roughly doubling. Best to let the doctor interpret the actual value with your dates.
During my treatment we tracked beta hcg closely with blood tests, and the doctor looked at how it rose, not just one number. Try not to fixate on a single value. Let your doctor read it in full context, it means more that way.
Home kits need a certain level to show, blood tests are far more sensitive. The trend over a couple of days matters more than one reading. Your doctor will tell you what your number means.
