Started adding chia in my morning water for fibre coz constipation is killing me. But not sure how much is too much daily. Anyone here taking them regularly?
In my first pregnancy, I felt so confused about superfoods. I started with just half a teaspoon of soaked chia seeds in my buttermilk, and it really helped with my constipation.
My mother suggested sabja seeds but I preferred chia. My doctor confirmed that 1 spoon is safe, just don't have it dry as it can cause digestion issues.
They are rich in omega-3 and fiber, which is great. However, moderate intake of 1 tablespoon is best, and always check with your gynecologist before adding new supplements or seeds to your diet.
I used to have them in my yogurt every morning, felt like I was doing the best for my little one. It's amazing how we care so much about every tiny seed for our babies.
My nutritionist told me that 1 to 1.5 tablespoons daily is perfect. Always soak them in water or milk for at least 15 mins before consuming so they don't swell up in your throat.
I had double the hunger but my doctor said just 1 tablespoon of soaked chia seeds is enough. Don't eat too much or you'll be spending your whole day in the toilet because of fiber!
