I have a serious chocolate craving these days and im trying not to overdo it. Dont want too much caffeine to harm the baby. How much do u all think is okay in a day?
I'm in my 5th month and my chocolate cravings are getting so crazy lately! Is anyone else eating chocolate daily? I usually stick to one small square of dark chocolate but sometimes I feel guilty, is it really safe?
When I was at my parents' place, my mother used to allow me just one small bite of chocolate after dinner to satisfy my sweet tooth. She said too much caffeine isn't good for the baby's sleep cycle. Try having some cold milk with a little cocoa powder instead.
Beta, chocolate has caffeine and too much sweet can heat up the body, so eat only small pieces. If you have cravings, try eating a small piece of dark jaggery or dry fruits instead. Moderation is very important for the baby’s health.
Oh my god, I used to check the label of every single chocolate bar for caffeine content! I read somewhere that under 200mg of caffeine is safe, but I still got so anxious. Just limit it to a tiny bit daily so u don't worry like I did.
Honestly, I am in my 3rd trimester now and if someone tries to limit my chocolate, I might lose my mind! But practically, 1-2 small squares of dark chocolate a day is fine, just don't eat the whole bar like I want to.
