Im halfway through now and my bump is showing properly. Just got curious how much the uterus actually stretches by the end, like its amazing na what the body does. Anyone read up on this?
My doc explained it grows from like the size of a small pear to almost a watermelon by the end. Its honestly amazing how much it stretches. It goes back to normal size slowly after delivery too.
From a tiny pear to a whole watermelon basically. Our bodies are wild yaar. I kept thinking how does so much fit in there, but somehow it all works out.
It expands a lot, many many times its normal size by full term. Thats why the bump gets so big. And dont worry, it shrinks back over weeks after baby comes, mine did both times.
It grows so much to make space for the baby, dont be surprised by the size. The body knows what to do. After delivery it comes back down slowly, just give it time.
