We are trying to conceive since few months and nothing yet, so all kinds of doubts coming in my head. Does the amount really matter for getting pregnant? bit embarrassing to ask but pls help.
We had similar questions when we started, felt a bit awkward to ask anyone. What helped me was learning that timing around ovulation matters way more than amount. If doubts continue, a doctor can check properly without judgement.
Quantity isnt the main factor, sperm health and the fertile window matter much more. A regular healthy ejaculation has plenty. If you have been trying a while without luck, a semen analysis through the doctor tells the real picture.
From what i understood while planning, its not really about the amount, its about sperm quality and count and the timing with ovulation. Even a normal amount has millions of sperm, only one needs to reach the egg. So focus on healthy timing rather than quantity.
This comes up a lot here. The honest answer is amount is rarely the issue, its sperm count, motility and right timing that decide it. If conceiving is taking long, both partners should get basic tests done rather than guessing.
