How much exercise is too much when trying to conceive?
I go to the gym pretty regularly and do some heavy workouts. we are trying to conceive now and im wondering if i should tone it down. dont want my routine to be the reason its not happening.
Honestly between work and everything, 30-40 min of moderate movement most days is plenty. You don't need to train like an athlete. Consistency over intensity when trying to conceive.
If your periods are getting irregular or you're constantly exhausted, that's a sign you're overdoing it. Stay active but don't push to extremes when you're trying, your body needs energy reserves.
Moderate is the key word. Very intense daily workouts and super low body fat can actually mess with your cycle. I switched to brisk walks, light strength and yoga while trying and it felt much more balanced.
With PCOS exercise actually helped me, but too much intense cardio backfired and stressed my body. A doctor or even a good trainer who understands fertility can guide the right amount, everyone's different.
