My last report showed my hb is a bit low and gynac told me to improve diet. Im in second trimester and im always feeling tired and dizzy. Just want to know what level is considered ok during pregnancy, anyone?
Around 11 is what they aim for. Mine dropped a bit in the second pregnancy and the doctor put me on iron tablets plus more green veggies, dates and jaggery. Get ur CBC done and let ur gynac guide the supplements, dont self dose iron.
They usually want it around 11 ma. If it is low dont worry, eat iron rich foods like greens, dates, ragi and take what the doctor gives. My amma made sure i ate well and my levels improved. Always go by ur blood report though.
Generally doctors like hemoglobin to be around 11 or above in pregnancy, below that they treat it as anemia. My gynac kept checking mine through the trimesters and started iron when it dipped. Best to know ur own number from a blood test and follow what the doctor advises for u.
Roughly 11 and above is considered fine, lower means u may need iron support. I would say dont compare numbers with others, get ur own test done since everyones baseline differs. Your doctor will tell u exactly what u need based on ur report.
