Im in my second trimester and my MIL got me proper kashmiri kesar, keeps adding it to my milk every night saying baby will be fair and healthy. But how much is actually ok in a day? dont want to overdo it na.
Haan everyone gives kesar doodh na in our families. But really 2-3 dhaage is plenty, log soch lete hain jitna zyada utna acha but thats not true. Mild and occasional is the way.
My MIL was very keen on kesar milk during my pregnancy, the whole family belief na. We kept it to just a few strands in warm milk, like 2-3 only. But I did ask my gynac and she said tiny amount is fine, just dont overdo it.
Honestly theres no proven need for kesar, its more of a tradition. If you enjoy it, a tiny pinch in milk now and then is okay for most. But if you have any condition or are unsure, just run it by your gynac once.
In my home also they gave me kesar milk for the baby to be fair, you know how elders are. But I always took just little, like 3-4 strands. No need to take a lot beta, thoda hi kaafi hai.
Just a couple of strands in milk is more than enough yaar, kesar is meant to be used in very small quantity. Too much can be heat producing. I kept it minimal and once in a while, not daily.
