I just had my first check-up and the doctor mentioned my BP. I was wondering what is considered a normal blood pressure range when you are pregnant. I want to keep track of it.
A reading of 120/80 is generally normal for most pregnant women. Just take rest, eat less salty food, and check with your doctor during your regular visits.
For me, normal was always 110/70 during my pregnancy, but whenever I got anxious, it would touch 130. I felt so scared that something would happen to my baby, but my doctor reassured me that small fluctuations are normal. Just try to stay calm and check it regularly.
I totally understand the anxiety around these numbers, trust me, we all go through it. Usually, 120/80 is the standard normal, but every body is different. You are doing a great job caring for yourself, so don't stress and just keep your gynac in loop.
Normally, anything around 120/80 mmHg is considered safe and fine. But please monitor it regularly because my BP spiked suddenly in my third trimester, and it became a complication. If it goes above 140/90, call your doctor immediately.
Right now in my 3rd trimester, my BP is around 115/75, but my weight is a different story haha! Ideally, 120/80 is normal, but if it starts crawling near 140/90, please get it checked. Pregnancy is already tiring enough without BP drama!
