I am vegetarian and my doctor said to increase protein, but I don't know how much is enough. Dal and paneer I eat, but not daily. What did you include for protein?
My doctor said roughly extra protein in pregnancy, somewhere around 70-75g a day for me but it depends on your weight. She told me to spread it across meals. Best to ask your gynac your exact number based on your body.
You dont need expensive protein powders. Dal, rajma, chana, eggs, curd, peanuts, all cheap and full of protein. I managed my whole pregnancy on simple ghar ka khana.
As a working mom I kept easy protein handy, boiled eggs, roasted chana, a chaas or curd. Quick to grab between work. Just make sure it's in every meal and you'll hit a decent amount.
I focused on protein because it helps with muscle and the baby. Eggs in breakfast, sprouts and dal through day, a glass of milk at night. My doctor okayed my plan, you should run yours by yours too.
Dont count grams too much honestly, just make sure every meal has a protein, dal, eggs, paneer, curd, chana, chicken if you eat it. I did that both times and it worked fine.
