How much saffron to use in milk daily during pregnancy?
My saas keeps insisting on kesar milk daily for fair baby and all that. I dont mind taking it but how much is actually ok in a day? dont want to overdo na.
Please ask your gynac before adding saffron to your daily diet, especially in the first trimester, as it can cause uterine contractions if taken in excess. If they allow it, only use 2 strands in warm milk. Safety is always priority.
In my experience, I only started having kesar milk from the fifth month onwards. I used to add just 2 to 3 strands of high-quality saffron to warm milk before bed. It really helped me sleep better, but I didn't take more than that.
I remember my family insisting I drink kesar milk every day for a healthy baby. I stuck to just 2 strands a day and my toddler is perfectly healthy and mischievous now! It’s a nice traditional habit, just keep the quantity very small.
Kesar doodh tastes so good during pregnancy, haan na? But keep the saffron quantity low, only 2-3 strands are enough. Too much saffron body heat badha sakta hai, so be careful.
I am in my 9th month and heavy as a watermelon, but my daily cup of milk with just 2 strands of kesar is my absolute comfort! Don't overdo it thinking it will make the baby fair, that's just a myth. Limit it to a tiny pinch or it causes too much body heat.
Honestly, I drank so much kesar milk hoping for a calm baby, but my little one still keeps me awake all night, haha! Just use 2 strands for the taste and relaxation. Don't expect any miracles for baby skin color or sleep, trust me!
Actually, even I wanted to start having kesar milk! My mom told me to wait until the second trimester. Is it true that we should only have 2-3 strands max?
