First time pregnant and i keep wondering how many scans are normally done through the whole 9 months. Dont want too many but also dont want to miss important ones. How many did u have in total?
My gynac did roughly 3-4 routine scans, a dating scan early, the NT scan around 11-13 weeks, the anomaly scan around 20 weeks, and a growth scan in third trimester. Could be more if there's any reason. Your doctor decides as per your case.
Usually about 3 to 4 in a normal pregnancy, na. Some doctors do an extra growth scan or two near the end. Don't worry if yours does a few more, it just means they're keeping a close eye, follow whatever your gynac advises.
Generally 3-4 key scans dating, NT, anomaly and a growth scan, but it really depends on your pregnancy. Routine ultrasounds are considered safe. Best to just go by what your gynac schedules for you, every pregnancy is a bit different.
Standard is around 3-4 scans for a normal pregnancy. I'd suggest asking your hospital for a package, sometimes scans plus checkups come cheaper bundled. Don't skip the 20 week anomaly scan though, that one's really important.
I've had 3 so far and have my 20 week one coming up. I kept worrying if too many scans are bad but my doctor said routine ones are totally safe. Anyone had more than 4? Just curious if that's normal.
