How much should be cervical length during pregnancy?
My scan report has cervical length written and I forgot to ask what number is okay. Now I keep looking at the report and worrying. Did your doctor explain this measurement?
Ugh, this was one of my biggest anxieties during pregnancy, I used to read up on it constantly and stress myself out! My doctor always said anything above 2.5cm is normal, and they only worry if it goes below that. Just make sure your doctor is keeping an eye on it in your scans, and don't google too much, it just makes you worry more for no reason!
I track everything on my app! My pregnancy app told me that cervical length is super important, especially in the second trimester to assess preterm labor risk. Generally, docs look for it to be above 2.5 cm or 3 cm. If it's shorter, they monitor for preterm labor risk. Make sure your doctor explains your reports clearly!
I just delivered a few weeks ago, and my gynac always checked my cervical length during my anomaly scan, around 20-22 weeks. She said anything above 2.5 cm is generally considered safe. If it's shorter, they might monitor it more closely or suggest precautions like bed rest. Mine was always good, thank god, so no worries there.
Sweetie, cervical length is a crucial measurement, usually checked in your second trimester, often during the anomaly scan. A normal length is typically considered to be 2.5 cm or more. If it's found to be shorter, your doctor might suggest bed rest or other interventions like a cerclage. Always discuss your scan reports in detail with your gynac, don't keep it to yourself.
As someone who wanted to stay active, my cervical length was a big concern for me to know if I could continue my modified yoga and walks. My doctor monitored it closely and confirmed that 3.5-4 cm was a good range for me. Anything less than 2.5 cm is generally a red flag, so always follow your gynac's specific advice on activity levels based on your measurements.
Oh god, this question is exactly what's on my mind! I'm in my second trimester, and my last scan showed my cervical length was 3.0 cm. My doctor said it's fine, but I'm constantly worrying if it will shorten and cause issues. Did anyone else feel this anxious about it? What's a normal range, really, for peace of mind?
