How much sugar level is dangerous during pregnancy?
My fasting sugar came a little on the higher side in my reports and now im tensed. Doc said wait for the full GTT but till then mera dimaag bhi tension me hai. Just want to understand kitna level is actually a worry.
When my reports came a bit high, my mom immediately cut down my rice and sweets and kept me on a healthy diet. But we still showed the doctor right away, and they adjusted my diet chart. Do ask your doctor once.
Beta, don't worry too much but do keep an eye on your reports. If the fasting is going above 95, just calmly discuss with your gynac in the next visit so they can guide you on diet or mild medicine.
I had GD during my pregnancy, and my doc said fasting should be below 95 and 2 hours after meals below 120. Please don't self-treat, keep a food diary and show your levels to your gynac regularly.
High sugar can cause complications like early delivery, so please don't take it lightly. If your fasting is consistently above 95 or post-meal goes over 140, please contact your doctor immediately.
Don't stress too much looking at those numbers online, dear. My toddler is running around now, but I remember crying over a fasting level of 105. Just follow your doctor's plan, a little fluctuation is normal.
Since I had PCOS, my insulin resistance was already there and my sugar shot up during pregnancy. My doctor kept a very close eye on anything above 140 after meals. Please monitor it regularly with a home glucometer as advised by your doctor.
I know how scary every single test report can feel, especially after a long wait. Generally, doctors look closely if fasting crosses 95 or post-meal crosses 130-140. Please share your reports with your clinic, they will support you gently.
Sending you so much love, I remember how stressful these tests were. It's totally okay to feel overwhelmed if your numbers are slightly high. Just talk to your doctor, they will help u manage it beautifully.
Oh those sugar tests are the worst, drinking that sweet gluco-water made me feel like a zombie! Honestly, just let your doctor do the math, if they aren't panicked, u shouldn't be either!
