My gynac asked me to get the sugar test done next week and now im a little tense about what numbers are ok. Im 24 weeks. Can someone tell me what range is considered normal?
Ugh, don't even ask me about sugar tests, my arms are full of needle pricks! Generally, they want fasting below 95 and post-lunch below 120. I'm just counting days to eat a big bowl of gulab jamun after delivery!
Normally, doctors look for fasting sugar under 90-95 and post-meal under 120 mg/dL during pregnancy. If your reports are slightly high, please don't panic, it is quite common. Just share the report with your doctor for proper guidance.

Managing sugar with twins was a whole project for me! Ideally, fasting needs to be below 95. If it goes up, doc will immediately put you on a strict diet or walk routine. Just get your regular blood tests done.
Keep it simple—usually fasting should be below 95, and 2 hours after meals should be under 120. But labs have slightly different ranges sometimes. Get your OGTT test done as recommended by your gynac to be 100% sure.
