My GTT test is coming up next week and im nervous about it. Just wanted to know what counts as a normal sugar reading so I have some idea before. Anyone can tell the range?
Humare doctor ne bola tha ki fasting 90-95 ke beech hona chahiye aur khane ke baad 120 tak. Aap jyada chinta mat karo, bas doctor didi se ek baar check karwa lo reports.
Fasting under 95 is standard. My saas kept telling me to cut down on sweets even before the test results came, but my gynac said a balanced diet is what actually keeps the sugars normal. Definitely check your levels with your doctor.
According to what my doctor told me, fasting blood sugar should be less than 95 mg/dL, 1 hour after meals under 140, and 2 hours after meals under 120. These ranges are stricter in pregnancy than normal times. Please discuss your specific reports with your doctor.
I have seen this question a lot here! Generally, doctors look for fasting under 95 and post-prandial under 120 for pregnant women. Make sure you get your regular GTT test done as scheduled by your gynac to keep track.
Listen, normal fasting sugar is usually below 95, and post-meal should be under 120, but don't panic if your values are slightly off. Every doctor has their own way of assessing. Just show your lab report to your gynac and they will guide you.
Ah, the dreaded sugar test! Fasting should ideally be under 95, but that sweet glucose drink they make you drink for the test is pure torture. Don't stress too much about the numbers until your doc reviews them.
