Got my thyroid report today and im 9 weeks. The number looks a little high to me compared to before pregnancy and now im confused whether thats okay for this stage. Will ask my gynac but wanted to know what range others had.
There is a general range but honestly the safe thing is to just show ur thyroid report to ur gynac. Mine monitored it closely and that was the best decision. Numbers alone can be misleading.
This is really something only ur doctor should answer with ur report in hand. TSH targets shift in pregnancy and even small changes matter. Pls don't adjust anything on ur own.
I had thyroid in pregnancy so this i know well. My gynac wanted my TSH on the lower side during pregnancy, not like the normal range. She kept changing my dose every few weeks based on reports, so pls go by what ur doctor says for ur numbers.
My endocrinologist explained that pregnancy needs tighter control than normal because baby depends on ur thyroid early on. She tested me each trimester. Don't compare with the lab's printed range, ur doc will tell u the target for u.
