Im 5 months and at ghar i keep picking up grocery bags and my toddler also. Now thoda worried if im lifting more than i should. Whats the safe limit, anyone asked their gynac about this?
I used to worry about this too because my toddler always wanted me to pick him up during my second pregnancy. My gynac said lifting up to 5-7 kgs is fine if your body is used to it, but avoid anything heavier. Just be careful!
Please don't lift anything heavy, dear. Up to 5 kgs is generally okay, but why take any risks? Let your family members handle the heavy lifting for now and keep yourself safe.
Listen, your ligaments are much softer right now due to pregnancy hormones, so lifting heavy things can easily injure your back. Stick to light items only. If you feel any strain or tightness, stop immediately.
Stop trying to be a superwoman right now. Do not lift heavy buckets, suitcases, or furniture. If you absolutely have to lift something light, bend from your knees, not your back.
With twins, my doctor told me to avoid lifting anything heavier than a mug of tea, haha! But seriously, avoid lifting heavy buckets of water or groceries. Your back is already under a lot of strain.
