How much weight does a woman put on during pregnancy?
I'm in my second trimester and constantly thinking about my weight. I want to know what is considered a healthy weight gain during pregnancy. What was your experience?
Listen, dont stress too much about the weight, okay? Some put on 10 kg, some put on 15-18 kg, and it is all totally fine! Just eat healthy, stay active, and let your body do its thing.
The weight gain depends a lot on your pre-pregnancy weight. Most doctors say 11 to 15 kg is normal. Please don't worry about it too much, just focus on your health and baby's growth.
Actually, it varies so much from person to person, yaar! I put on around 14 kg, but my friend gained only 8 kg and both our babies were perfectly healthy. Just don't go on any crazy diets right now, enjoy this phase!
My mother-in-law used to say I must eat for two and gain lots of weight, but my doctor advised that 10 to 12 kg is standard. I trusted my gynac and kept my meals balanced with ragi and ghee. Every body is different, so discuss with your doctor once.
